HUSBAND AND WIFE PHOTOGRAPHY TEAM LOCATED IN CARROLL COUNTY MARYLAND

I'm so glad you've decided to stop by! We are Kyle & Shannon, and we are portrait and wedding photographers located in Carroll County, Maryland. We believe in keeping the planning process as simple as possible. From the first email, we want your experience with us to be joyful and stress-free.  Our business is built on the relationships  we create with our couples and families and we cherish the time we get with each of my clients leading up to their wedding day and then the sweet moments that follow when they celebrate anniversaries and welcome little ones into the family. Our hope is that you'll stick around for a bit, explore the site and send us a note so we can get a conversation started!

WE ARE PARENTS TO THREE BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN THAT CERTAINLY KNOW HOW TO KEEP US ON OUR TOES! BELLE, RYKER, AND HARPER ARE SWEET, SPUNKY, AND FULL OF PERSONALITY, BUT ARE SOME OF THE GREATEST BLESSINGS THAT WE HAVE.

MOST PEOPLE ASK IF WE PHOTOGRAPH OUR OWN CHILDREN, AND TYPICALLY WE AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS. I LOVE PHOTOGRAPHING OTHER PEOPLE'S CHILDREN, BUT PHOTOGRAPHING OUR OWN CHILDREN IS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE. PHOTOGRAPHER CHILD SYNDROME IS A REAL THING AND CAUSES SELECTIVE HEARING AND GOOFY FACES WHENEVER A CAMERA IS PRESENT.

LOVE THEM, BUT WE HIRE A PHOTOGRAPHER TOO :)

THE FAM

Shannon's   story

I grew up in a family full of photographers. In fact, I swore for most of my life that I would never be a photographer. I wanted to do things my own way.

I think God has a funny way of making sure we know that we aren't in control of how our life plays out. I really believe that he has a plan for each of us, and for me, part of his plan was Kyle, and photography.

I'll spare you the details, but when I met Kyle I was a single mom with two babies. I was working two jobs (and hated it), but I did what I had to and it was okay. Not too long after Kyle and I met, we went on a vacation to visit my family in Hawaii where my parents gave me a camera. They told me I couldn't vacation in Hawaii and not take photos. So, I took photos, and then I made Kyle a scrapbook for Christmas that he proudly shared with all of his friends. I was embarrassed, but one of his friends told me that I needed to pursue photography. You can probably imagine the eye roll that happened there.

A few days later, I had this lightbulb moment. I realized that I could pursue photography as a way to make ends meet, but have more control over my schedule. It would allow me to be home with my kids more. ...and the rest is history!

Not really though...

What I never expected about our business was that I was going to learn more about myself, my goals, and my dreams than I could have ever imagined. I never thought that I'd find a passion that was something I did for me. Our little business grew faster than we could have expected, and what a blessing it has been for our family. Our little business has allowed us to love, serve and celebrate over 100 weddings and events, and even more portrait sessions. I've personally photographed nearly 100 women in my boudoir experience, and I've found a love for this little business that I couldn't imagine our lives without at this point.

We are grateful to each and every family and couple that has entrusted us with their memories, and we are so excited for the future families and couples that choose us to document some of life's most precious moments.
